Christ in the Psalms is a yearly reflection on how the people of God pray, engage with emotion, and offer all elements of life to the God who dwells with His people. As we learn and reflect, we wondrously find unmistakable glimpses of Christ throughout the process.
On Sunday, June 1, we kicked off the series for the summer. We began with Psalm 1—returning to the start again after finishing the Psalter last year. As we walk through the first ten Psalms, we'll interact with a Wisdom Psalm, a Messianic Psalm, and several Psalms of Lament.
Behind the Art
Our Art Coordinator, Seth Coulter, created artwork to help us visually contemplate some of the motifs of the Psalms to help us engage not just our minds, but our hearts and imaginations more fully in the space of these ancient prayers. Use the button below to read about the symbolism and direction of this art in Seth’s “Behind the Art.”

Starting in Psalm 41, artists within our community have done a piece of artwork for each week's Psalm. There's been a lot of wonderful, stirring work over the years, and we've cataloged them here (save for during a tragically undermanned 2023), each with a write-up from the artist.
