Baptism
Jesus graciously commanded two sacraments for His church—baptism and the Lord’s supper. We celebrate the Lord’s supper each week, reminding ourselves of our ongoing communion with Jesus through His work on the cross. Baptism is how we commemorate our new life in Christ and entrance into His spiritual family. All those who put their trust in Jesus are invited by Jesus to be baptized.
While water baptism does not save us, we are saved through our spiritual baptism into the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Water baptism is how we are called to celebrate our union with Christ, declaring to the church and the world that we are with Jesus and with His people.
