‘True Standard’

(7) Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.”
(8) They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.
(9) O Lord, save the King! May he answer us when we call.

Victoriously, His standard is thrust through the roof panel, headliner, center console, transfer case and chassis, into the earth below. Was your trust in this chariot? This horse with its cracked hooves, exposed rotors and frayed wiring harnesses? It would never have delivered you where you really needed to go. The standard is set, His banner waves in the breeze. A rallying cry rings out through the throngs of His people: He is our source of strength, speed and deliverance.

He admires our little inventions and rejoices in our gifts of ingenuity, mobility and craftsmanship. Yet, He works in entropy to remind us that paint fades, steel rusts, and that without Him we are lost to that never ending strip of pavement; though it sparkles so beautifully with its scattered gems of tempered glass. Rise, stand upright, and wave the banner of the One manufacturer: Alpha and Omega.
