Awake: 48 Hours of Prayer

Friday, January 10, 8am–sunday, december 12, 8am • room 305

Why dedicate 48 hours to prayer? Our city and world long for the hope and transformation only Jesus can provide. As we step into 2025, Park Church is responding to this call by hosting two days of continuous prayer.

Prayer is fundamental to the lives of every follower of Jesus. It is our way to connect with God, align our hearts with His, and participate in His work. Throughout history, sustained prayer has led to personal growth in faith, community revival, and global restoration.

We encourage you to sign up for an hour (please use the button below) and join us in seeking God’s presence in Denver and beyond. As simple as it sounds, every hour is a bold act of faith, uniting us to intercede for change and believe in God’s power to do far more than we can imagine. Together, we pray for His kingdom to come in Denver as it is in heaven. Have questions? Keep reading!

Event FAQ’s:

Can I sign up for more than one slot?

Yes! Please start with one slot and wait a few days to give space for others to sign up too.

What if I don't feel ready to pray for a whole hour?

We’ll provide prayer prompts and engaging “prayer stations” throughout the room. You may even find that time flies in the prayer room!

Can I sign up with others?

Yes, and we encourage it! Invite your Gospel Community roommates, family, etc., to join you if you’d like.

Do I have to pray with others?

Multiple people who don’t know one another can sign up for a single slot, and pray separately or together in the room. However, if you’d prefer to pray alone or only with people you know, you can click the “book exclusively” button to lock that slot on the RSVP form.

Do I have to come in person?

Although we can certainly pray anywhere at any time, for this initiative, please only sign up for a slot if you plan to come to pray for that hour at the building.

What does security look like, especially late at night?

The building will be locked at all times, and we will provide individual door access at specific times for those who sign up for prayer slots. If you do not feel comfortable, especially coming alone or late at night, we completely understand. Do not feel obligated!

Other, Ongoing Prayer Efforts

Boiler Room Prayer

Sundays • 8:15–8:45am • Upstairs Classroom

Charles H. Spurgeon widely credited the success of his ministry to the hundreds of people who came before each service to pray for God’s blessing. He often referred to these prayer meetings as the “boiler room”—the driving source of the power of the church. Join us as we listen and cry out to God on behalf of our church and city!
