Kids’ Sunday Worship:
August 23
Good morning Park Kids!
Today we are continuing our time in the book of Judges in chapters 4–5. God’s people, the Israelites, forgot about God, so the king of Canaan attacked God’s people. The Israelites asked God for help, so God sent a woman named Deborah as a judge!
Deobrah told a man named Barak who led the army of God’s people, “God will help you fight.” Barak said, “I will go to battle if you come with me.” Deborah said, “I will go with you, but a woman will defeat Sisera, the leader of the Canaanite army.”
When God’s people went to fight, God confused their enemy. Sisera ran away and a woman named Jael let Sisera hide in her tent, then Jael defeated Sisrera! God saved His people by using Deborah, Barak, and Jael! God used Jesus to save us from our sins.
For the interactive activity video, you will need paper, scissors, something to write with, and tape/glue/scissors.
