Family Fun Day
SUNDAY, JUNE 14 • ANY TIME • ANY LOCATION
Although we can’t be together during this time, we’re encouraging families to host their own “Family Fun Day!” There are many ways to do it! Plan ahead to make this time fun and special for your family, knowing lots of families at Park are doing the same thing. Keep reading to learn more and get some ideas!
Park Family Ministry exists to partner with and empower parents to disciple their children. Discipleship happens in the everyday moments of life and we want to help you create patterns of discipleship in your own family.
One way to do this is by setting up time dedicated to being together or engaging in a fun activity as a family. With that in mind we are inviting you to participate in Park’s “Family Fun Day” 2020! On Sunday, June 14, we’re encouraging you to participate by doing something fun as a family at any point of the day at any location you would like! Even though we will be separated, our hope is that each of us will be participating in “Family Fun Day” on the same day, scattered throughout the city.
Plan ahead to make this time fun and special for your family knowing lots of families at Park are doing the same thing. Our hope is to create a sense of community and excitement for our families even though we will not be able to gather all together.
There are countless ways to make this a special “Family Fun Day” for you and your children. You can be in your backyard or head to a park. You can keep it just your family, invite another Park family, or consider this a missional opportunity by inviting a neighbor family to participate with you!
Here are some suggested activities for your family during Park’s family fun day:
- Take a walk around the neighborhood and use this nature scavenger hunt to get the family moving. Spend time talking together about God made everything! You can listen to this worship song or read Genesis 1-2 together.
- For a rainy day, Ikea released an article on six ways to build a blanket fort for your home quarantine. Talk with your kids about God is our fortress after building your home fort. Read Psalm 18 together.
