What is Park Young Professionals?

Park Young Professionals exists to connect people to the church and to each other, creating a thriving community where young adults are known, encouraged, and equipped to follow Jesus together. Through deep relationships and consistent gatherings, we seek to cultivate a vibrant faith, provide meaningful support within the body of Christ, and help young adults actively engage in the life of the local church.

What do we do?

Our mission is to provide young adults at Park Church with a place to belong, grow, and serve, helping them build lasting community and remain rooted in the church. We recognize that finding connection can be difficult, so we create intentional spaces where young adults can form deep friendships, strengthen their faith, and invest in the life of the church. As we grow, we aim to multiply leaders who will sustain and expand this ministry for the next generation.

How we gather:

We want to create rhythms that help people consistently connect, worship, and grow together:

  • First Friday Worship Nights: A monthly night of worship and prayer to center our hearts on Jesus and grow in faith together.
  • Third Sunday Hangouts: A relaxed gathering at a local brewery or park to build friendships in a casual setting.
  • Quarterly Conversations (TBD): Structured events that tackle important topics relevant to young adults, such as building healthy relationships, navigating faith in daily life, and living with purpose as a Christian.
  • Work Remote Wednesdays (TBD): A designated space at the church (possibly the gallery) for young adults (or anyone) who work remotely or have open schedules to be present in a shared environment with other believers. This space provides an opportunity for community-building in a familiar setting, with the normal coffee/tea available and sets up well for when we have Wednesday Noon Prayer.
  • Intentional Discipleship (TBD): A pathway for young adults seeking mentorship and spiritual growth. We connect those interested in discipleship with spiritually mature believers, providing structured content to help guide their faith, build deeper relationships, and grow in their walk with Jesus.

Values (How We Operate):

  1. For the Glory of God & the Joy of Others: Everything we do is to glorify Jesus and help people experience the joy of knowing Him through community.
  2. Intentional Community: No one should come to our church and feel like they don’t belong. We create spaces where young adults can easily connect, form real relationships, and be known.
  3. Vibrant Faith & Growth: We encourage young adults to actively pursue Jesus, deepen their faith, and grow in their love for Him.
  4. Rooted in the Church: We are not a separate entity or social club. Park Young Adults exists as a part of the larger body of Park Church, committed to being engaged members of the church family.
  5. Welcoming to All: You don’t have to be impressive, have it all together, or fit a certain mold to belong here. We welcome everyone who is seeking community and faith.
  6. Multiplication Mindset: We don’t want this ministry to depend on a few key leaders. Everyone is encouraged to invest in others, raising up future leaders to sustain and grow the ministry.
