Practicing the Way: The Generosity Practice Begins

Description
Jesus regularly made bold claims that turn our vision of the good life on its head. One of the most counterintuitive is His statement that there is more joy in giving than receiving, and that freedom is found as we embody God’s generous heart.
Join us for a four-week journey from John Mark Comer's "Practicing the Way."
Each week, in-person participants will watch a video, engage in discussions at tables, and walk through a "practice" session where we’ll journal and delve into Jesus' teachings. Together, we'll reflect on Biblical perspectives about the subject and how to integrate them into community life. The sessions are not solely focused on contributions to the church; they encompass broader generosity and swiftly tackle essential matters like life stewardship, scarcity, fear, and more. This space is inclusive for anyone who has had challenging experiences with giving and the church or those simply aiming to grow in generosity. Facilitators David Hubbard and Collin Jones are committed to making it a safe and judgment-free place to learn, discuss, and grow.
For those who can't join us on Thursday nights or may need to miss one or two weeks, we'll have an online option. Online participants can view the same videos each Thursday night and engage with discussion questions via CCB (Church Community Builder). This approach may work well for Gospel Communities.
