Good Morning, Park Kids! Today we’re learning about the story of Daniel

King Darius put Daniel in charge of Babylon. Some men did not like Daniel. They tried to catch Daniel making a wrong choice, but Daniel did what was right. So they tricked the king into making a bad law. For thirty days, everyone had to pray to the king only. But Daniel only prayed to God!

The men caught Daniel praying to God and brought him to the king. The king was sad, because the king had been tricked and Daniel had to be thrown into the lions’ den. Darius said, “May your God keep you safe!” All night long, the king worried about Daniel. In the morning, he ran to the lions’ den. “Daniel! Did God keep you safe?” he asked. Daniel said, “God shut the lions’ mouths. I am OK!” Darius said, “Your God is alive! He rescues His people!”
