The past couple years have been marked by deep, intense division, and it’s dismaying to find those rifts run even through the church. We each feel strongly about the issues, but it’s as if each conversation makes the division worse.
This summer we are slowing down and taking stock of how we communicate with others about contentious topics. Over five nights throughout the summer, we’ll watch a Good Faith Debate from The Gospel Coalition about a topic of current interest. Afterwards, we will look together at how the speakers exhibited charity, listening skills, logic, and respect. Lastly, we’ll consider what the Bible teaches us about communication and practice these skills together.
We encourage you to attend as many of these nights as possible so we can enjoy growing in this area together, practicing through many cultural topics. Childcare is provided with RSVP.
