Kids’ Sunday Worship:
August 16

Good morning Park Kids! We are starting in the book of Judges!

After taking the Promised Land, God’s people, the Israelites, often stopped obeying God. Whenever that happened, God let other nations take over the Israelites. God’s people were sad when that happened. Then the Israelites would remember how good God was and they cried out to God for help. God sent leaders called judges to help His people. These judges fought for the Israelites and taught them how to obey God. The judges you will learn about today will be Othniel, Ehud, and Shamgar. God was with these men, and they led God’s people and kept them safe. The judges helped rescue God’s people. Jesus rescued us from our sin!

Our new memory verse is 1 John 1:9 and our new big picture question is What is repentance? Repentance is turning away from sin and turning to Jesus. For the activity video, you will need a piece of paper and something to write with.
